When the right light transforms a room, everything shifts — the walls soften, the evening slows, and the space finally feels like yours. The Rolys French Glass Wall Sconce from Skonne delivers exactly that kind of warmth: a sculpted stained glass shade that casts a rich, layered glow across your walls, turning an ordinary corner into something quietly extraordinary.

Inspired by the artisan glasswork of French medieval interiors, this sconce brings old-world craftsmanship into the modern home. The cream-tinted glass shade glows with a honeyed warmth that no bare bulb or recessed light can replicate.

French Wall Sconce With Art Glass Shade

The hand-finished stained glass shade is the centerpiece of this design. Rather than simply covering a bulb, it transforms light itself — diffusing it into warm, golden tones that settle gently into the room. Whether installed in a foyer, bedroom, or dining area, the Rolys brings an unmistakable sense of refinement to your interior.

Ambient Wall Lighting That Works in Every Room

Designed for true ambient wall lighting, the sconce directs light both upward and downward — a feature that creates soft layered illumination rather than harsh direct light. The up and down glow fills a room with depth and atmosphere, ideal for evening hours when a cozy, low-lit environment matters most. Compatible with a standard LED E27 bulb (included), it supports 90–260V for seamless use in any US home.

There's something so calming about the light this gives off. I've placed it in my meditation corner and it sets exactly the tone I need. Quality exceeded expectations, which is rare these days.

In their words

From the reviews of this piece.

  • My friend has the floor version and I was always jealous — so glad they make a wall version now. The stained glass creates this layered effect on textured walls that photos don't capture well. I turn it on even during the day just for the ambiance. It's become essential to how my space feels.

  • imo this is the best wall light I've bought. The glow is cozy without being dim, and the style works with my eclectic decor better than I thought. Shipping was fast too.

  • This sconce has quickly become the centerpiece of my entryway. I originally wanted something purely Scandinavian but the French influence with that amber glass creates such unexpected warmth. Everyone asks where it's from. The build is thoughtful — you can tell attention went into the finish quality and the way the glass sits in the frame.

At the regular price of $319 this would be highway robbery. The glass is nice but there's no way it's worth that much. I got it on sale and it's acceptable for what I paid, but I'd never pay full price for this. Wait for a discount if you're considering it.

Just grabbed this for my new studio apartment. Perfect for the smaller wall space I had, and the light creates this super chill atmosphere when I'm working late. Kinda makes my old lamp look terrible now lol.

I've been searching for accent lighting for our bedroom redesign for months and kept coming back to this piece. The stained glass casts the most gorgeous patterns against the wall when lit, and honestly it's become the favorite part of my morning routine — having coffee with that soft ambient glow. Quality feels substantial, not flimsy at all. The cord length was generous for our setup too.

Really pretty sconce and the glass has lovely color depth. Great piece overall — though shipping took almost two weeks which felt long. Happy with it now that it's here.

Arrived faster than expected and the glasswork is just stunning. My hallway has completely changed — there's this warm golden glow every evening that makes the whole space feel cozy. Installation took maybe 15 minutes. Very happy with this purchase.

Got two for either side of my bed and WOW. The color temperature is that perfect warm amber — not harsh white like so many modern fixtures. My husband installed both in under an hour. They arrived in perfect condition, wrapped carefully. These really do transform a room.

Been wanting to write this for weeks! The glass has this beautiful variation in color — no two panels look identical, which gives it character. My partner was skeptical about wall sconces but now wants another for the living room. Installation kit had everything needed including wall anchors. One small typo in the instruction booklet but nothing confusing. Very solid purchase definately.

For the price point, this performs remarkably well. The glass has real weight to it, hardware feels premium, and the light distribution is even across the shade. I appreciate that they included extra mounting hardware too.

It's decent lighting for what I paid. The glass is pretty and the glow is warm, which I like. But tbh I expected something a bit more substantial for this price range — the fixture itself feels lighter than anticipated. Does the job though, and looks fine from across the room.
